At age of sixteen, Nahel successfully demonstrated his conductorial charisma and talent as a composer by forming bands and chamber orchestras.

In 2000, he graduated from the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus majoring in trumpet and double bass under the supervision of Valeri Lobanov and Jihad Sukkar. In 2007, he obtained the DASL (Diploma Accademico di Secondo Livello) in trumpet from the Nicolò Paganini Music Conservatory in Genoa under the supervision of Elia Savino. Raffaele Cecconi and Roberto Iovino supervised his thesis. He also spent three years studying music composition for images with Luigi Giacchino. During this time, he attended specialized courses and seminars in orchestra conducting under the guidance of Howard Williams, Sergio La Stella, Marco Zambelli and Marco Guidarini.
In 2007, he founded the Syrian Philharmonic Orchestr. In addition, he conducted various orchestras, such as the Euro-Mediterranean, the Mediterranean, the Conca d’Oro, the Puccini Festival, and the Palermo Classica, among others. He shared the stage conducting a rich symphonic repertoire and famous works of the operatic repertoires such as Tosca, Madama Butterfly, Gianni Schicchi by Giacomo Puccini, and Pietro Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana. These took place at prestigious international theaters, such as the Opera House in Damascus, the Giuseppe Verdi in Pisa, and the Theatre Princesse Grace in Monaco. Included in this list are festivals and renown historical sites, such as Krak des Chevaliers and Palmyra Amphitheater in Syria, Historic Square in Noto, the Cloister of St. Anne Palermo, Nadi Midan Amphitheater in Dubai, and others.

For the occasion of “Flag Day”, which celebrates the new National Day of the UAE, he composed and conducted the music accompanying the new poems of the famous, prominent poet His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Kicco Music produced an album called Syria Dance Love. This music was carefully selected from his numerous compositions created between 2003 and 2013 for the theatrical dance as well as music previously performed in prestigious theaters in the Arab world.
The Syrian National Symphony Orchestra plays his composition Al-Sham incontra l’Italia at world premieres in several Syrian cities and in prestigious theaters, such as the Goldoni in Livorno, the Dante Alighieri in Ravenna, the Dell’Aquila of Fermo, the Pergolesi Spontini of Jesi and finally at the Carlo Felice and San Lorenzo Cathedral in Genoa, during the Genoa 2004 – European Capital of Culture.
In 2011 he was appointed director of the Music Institutes in Syria, where he oversaw the setting of the first complete system of the pre-academic musical studies. He set up the “acoustic” program in Arabic, which he then taught to the fourth and fifth courses of the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus.
